ENGAGING ACTIVITIES, ... BACK TO ALL NIGHTCRAWLER
animation from wall drawings made with self-adhesive vinyl cuttings | 14s loop | 3840 x 2160 px | 25 stills | no audio | 2023
AP from Edition: 3 + 1 AP
I noticed that in a place where I usually keep a box, I could fit myself. The space left after removing the box, which occupies it perfectly, is excessive for the shape of my body, and can be assumed to be a miniature dwelling, a makeshift shelter. From this drawing on the canvas spreads a mural, which is the pretext for an animation in which a character, inspired by a video of me, stands up from a crouched position, a metaphor for overcoming a circumstance.
EXHIBITION HISTORY
2023 solo show This Is Not an Artspace. Ana Maria Micu, curators Alina Șerban and Ștefania Ferchedău, Institute of the Present, Bucharest, RO
