Changing Background

I did these two works during the project "How to Mend Unbroken Things" within an artist-in-residence program at my art in Vienna between  20 August - 2 September 2014.

Practicing the concept of creating a new context for finished paintings, I produced these slideshows as stand alone art forms that are meant for online display. The area of the painting is kept as fixed as possible, while the background constantly changes due to the progression of the drawing in white markings that grow around it, re-positions, various light effects, chance and passing of time.
